FAQ
What To See In Agadir ?

The famous Agadir Oufella kasbah This is one of the most emblematic historical sites of the city, dating back to the 16th century and situated at the top of a mountain more than 236 meters above the sea. This fortress was built in 1540 under the reign of Mohamed Ech-Cheikh of the Saadian dynasty to counter the attacks of the Portuguese colonists. The earthquake of 1960 left only ruins, but restoration and rehabilitation works are underway to restore its former glory. The enclosure walls and the defense borj are already completed. The kasbah is once again open to the public who can enjoy the exceptional panoramic view of the bay, the city, and the hinterland.

Anza Beach and dinosaur footprints Anza Beach, just a few kilometers north of Agadir, is worth the detour and its name has gone around the world. It was in 2017 that the footprints, already noticed for years by the inhabitants, were officially identified by scientists as dinosaur footprints dating back 85 million years. Go hunt for traces of these prehistoric reptiles at low tide. For history, for culture, or just to relive the "Jurassic Park" spirit of our childhood!

Its many treasures attract crowds of national and international visitors. You can purchase argan oil, buy souvenirs for your family and friends, or enjoy a delicious mint tea.

The Amazigh Heritage Municipal Museum This museum dedicated to the memory of the Berber heritage allows you to discover Amazigh culture in immersion. You will find more than 200 handcrafted masterpieces, including jewelry, clothing, and traditional rugs. You will also discover many traditional tools, typical works of regional architecture, and contemporary art exhibitions.

Coco Polizzi's Medina This is a somewhat special medina since it is located outside of Agadir, about fifteen minutes away, and is not the historic medina of the city. It is located a few kilometers from the city center and is more like a museum or an artistic creation. Indeed, it is the work of the Italian artist Coco Polizzi, who set out in the early 1990s to reconstruct the medina of Agadir that had been destroyed during the earthquake of 1960. He did so by respecting traditional construction techniques and architectural codes of the Souss Massa region. Result: the new medina immerses you in the magical atmosphere of an ancient medina. Perfect for finding handicraft products. Shuttles regularly travel there from Agadir. The hotel can provide information.
